Medaxis

Medaxis is a medical device manufacturer based in Switzerland. At the center of its portfolio is a wound cleansing system powered by micro water jet technology, which the manufacturer calls Microjet Wound Therapy (MWT).

Thanks to its pressurized yet tissue-respecting water stream, necrotic tissue, fibrin and biofilm are removed with the aim of preserving healthy tissue. This selective action contributes to preparing the wound bed more safely for the granulation and epithelialization phases.

The system is used with single-use handpieces suited to different wound types. With point or surface application options, controlled cleansing is possible in both deep and large-surface wounds.
